Who chooses the recommendations for my custom lists?

We have a team of experienced literary editors led by Steve Chang (Okay Donkey) & Autumn Watts (Guernica) from the Lit Match Collective.

Can I submit many stories as long as they add up to 12000 words?

Nope. The 12,000 words selection is for one piece.

What do you consider flash fiction in terms of custom lists?

up to 1500 words.

How do I submit multiple genres in one submission?

You can't. Our editors are choosing magazines based on who they believe will publish what you've sent us. If you were to submit poetry + fiction or flash fiction + a short story, this process wouldn't work because those would be different submissions to the magazine.
